I hope everyone who was reading along got to finish Eliza’s Story. If you did not, send me a comment and I will try to fill in what you missed. I am still slogging through rewrites (I am no good at editing my own stuff), but have been advised that to find a publisher, I need to get the story off the Internet. So, down she came. Thanks for all your encouragement. I saved most of your comments to reread on rainy days. I am sure that there will be many as I wade through the many rejection notices that are sure to come my way. It is a hard thing to find a publisher, but I am going to trust that if God wants it published, He will find just the right people to read it and believe in the story. In the meantime, I will try to keep blogging so you have something new to read!
I can’t imagine you’ll have to deal with too many rejections. It’s a wonderful story and you’re a gifted writer.
Just doing a little catch-up this morning… your heart medicine post really hits home. Aren’t we perverse creatures? We get so used to our misery, we don’t want to be pulled out of it. What a blessing to have one good friend who cares enough to ignore your bad mood and your protests.
Re fasting, I have a tendency to start out thinking of things I won’t miss all that much. Oh, I can give up dessert for a few weeks. Or hamburgers… or even ebay. But then I realize that none of those things would be much of a sacrifice and would pretty much defeat the whole purpose from the get-go.
Thanks ever so for always keeping us thinking.
Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^
