I realized it has been almost weeks since I last blogged. Facebook is not to blame, Julia’s Story is. As I research and write, there is not much time to do anything else. The good news is that Julia is finally across the Atlantic, but other than the novel, I don’t have much else to write about. Except dogs. This post was written before I left for Guatemala. I thought I had posted it already but since I didn’t, here is a glimpse into what I am doing when I am not sitting on the couch surrounded by research materials and imagining what it was like to immigrate to the United States 175 years ago.
And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? Hebrews 12:5-7 (NIV)
I'm so glad it's Julia that's taking up your time. Take all the time you need – I can wait. 😉
Good for Cory – what a clever girl! I have a smart one and a stubborn one. The smart one does what she's supposed to do when she's supposed to do it. If you tell the stubborn one to do something, he just looks at you or does the opposite. He's so frustrating!
Cory is awesome!
Yo, I just book reviewed ya' on PF.
You get an A+.
Sorry it took so long.
